Every day at sunset in Vancouver all of the rows fly east to an old dump site. I’m fascinated by the long lines of them following the same route each evening.
This painting was done with a base coat of sunset colours with a layer of metallic silver overtop. The crows are painted with the deepest inky black paint available and the main crow has layers of iridescent blues and violets.
