Fin Whale

Painted at 351 Rue de Bellechasse, Montréal, Canada. Funded by Elio Pizzeria. Fin whales were hunted everywhere for the first three-quarters of the 20th century, causing major population decline. Largely thanks to the ban on whaling in 1986 and through conservation efforts such as at the Pelagos Sanctuary in Italy, populations have been increasing since 1995.
