Im Tom, an illustrator and mural artist based in North Staffordshire. I’ve delivered projects across the UK with local councils, universities, and organisations such as the Canal & River Trust and Trent Rivers Trust. My work blends realistic imagery of nature, culture and heritage with a contemporary street art aesthetic. I aim to create bold, engaging murals that transform external facades into distinctive landmarks, while remaining accessible to a wide range of people. I often respond directly to the architecture of a site, incorporating negative space and exposed surfaces so the building becomes part of the composition. This helps the work feel rooted in place rather than applied to it. My practice is influenced by British wildlife, native flora, and a strong interest in local history and everyday heritage, which I use to create work that reflects both place and identity. Community involvement is a key part of how I work. I regularly develop projects through workshops, conversations, and shared ideas, ensuring the final artwork reflects the people connected to the space as well as a clear artistic direction.
