This was a wonderful commission and a joy to complete for a woman who commissioned me to draw 27 A5 drawings of her and her father, over the years. It was a gift for his 75th birthday and she gathered them into a portfolio to present to him.

Meet the Artist
London, United KingdomAnnie Hall b. 1989 is a London-based portrait and figurative artist working in pencil, charcoal, pastel, and digital illustration. Since graduating from Cambridge School of Fine Art in 2012, she has grown her portfolio to include personal work and commissions.
Annie is a passionate artist specialising in creating detailed, personalised portraits, illustrations and tutoring. Art has always been a part of her life and she uses art to capture emotions, tell stories, and connect people in a meaningful way.
With many years of practice, experimenting with various mediums, and honing her skills, Annie’s artistic journey has been fuelled by a desire to create unique, lifelike representations that go beyond physical appearance to also capture the essence of a subject. Through a portrait, an illustration, or a sketch, she aims to bring out the heart of each individual or scene portrayed.
Annie’s style is a blend of realism with an artistic touch—every piece created is carefully crafted with attention to detail and an eye for the subtleties that make each subject special.
She also offers tutoring for those who want to explore their own artistic abilities and believes in the power of creativity, with a mission to help others tap into their artistic potential
