Father and Daughter Graphite Commission by Erin Wilson in Detroit
Father and Daughter Graphite Commission
I feel deeply when creating such pieces as this one. This commission was from a past photograph of a daughter with her father and commissioned as a gift. I attempted to capture the moment between them. I want to bring something extra to each of my drawings to make them more than just a translation of a photo someone already has in possession. In this one I changed the pendant around the father's neck the baby is holding to include her initials. A hope to represent that he will always be with her and there will always be that connection.

Meet the Artist
Detroit, United StatesI am a Michigan born and based artist who enjoys exploring many mediums. I create art on a daily basis, because it is a need within me. My experience ranges from graphite portraits, to oil landscapes. I work to create pieces that resonate with the viewer, especially if it depicts a loved one, human or animal. I will work with you to create a unique artwork from a photograph or original idea. Please contact about pricing as prices are more negotiable than what is seen on profile.
