Faraglioni after Kunisada by Thom Muir in Sydney

Faraglioni after Kunisada

This Mural was painted for Ron and Cheryl, who wanted an artistic depiction of their favourite holiday destination, Faraglioni rocks in Italy. I love to paint landscapes, and some of my earliest practice has been inspired by Ukiyo-E prints and art deco travel posters, which speak to the quiet drama and character of the landscapes we move through, so I tried to capture some of that energy for them here. Ron was kind enough to talk about this one in the Sunday herald so this one made it to the paper.
