Faraglioni after Kunisada
This Mural was painted for Ron and Cheryl, who wanted an artistic depiction of their favourite holiday destination, Faraglioni rocks in Italy.
I love to paint landscapes, and some of my earliest practice has been inspired by Ukiyo-E prints and art deco travel posters, which speak to the quiet drama and character of the landscapes we move through, so I tried to capture some of that energy for them here. Ron was kind enough to talk about this one in the Sunday herald so this one made it to the paper.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, Australia Having started in the graffiti scene at a young age, now with over 15 years experience in the aerosol medium, I'm always interested in progressing the exciting, colourful, attention-grabbing energy of classic graffiti toward something less letter-based and more graphic, accessible for the whole community.
for this reason I'm currently interested in graphic and colourful character and landscape based, site-specific work, including elements related to the paintings context. At the moment I'm interested in moving into more large scale graphic images of Australian native flora and fauna depicted in my signature style.
I have never stopped expanding my exploration of different mediums, and have done everything from hand-painted leather jackets, to tee-shirt graphics, to boat decals, and of course a whole lot of homewares and furniture. I'm comfortable creating artwork either digitally or physically, whether with aerosols, chalk, paintbrush, or even a roller, so whatever the project don't hesitate to drop me a line.
Having worked for many years in film and television before moving into the public art sphere, I am also an experienced videographer, and I'm especially proficient in the production of video content focused on the creation of artworks, BTS and process videos.
