This recent commission was a portrait of a family group, painted in watercolour, and featuring all 14 members of a family, from grandparents to children. The portrait was approximately A4 in size and was based on a series of photographic references; the children in effect were 'added' to the main reference photo, to create a harmonious composition. I completed the work from 5 weeks from date of commission (although I can work faster than that - the lead time for this particular commission was generous)

Ashford, United KingdomI'm an artist based in Kent, UK, working mostly in watercolour. My main subject area of interest is people, either individual or group portraits, and I've also a lot of experience creating house (and houseboat!) portraits as well. I'm a member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art and exhibit with the association regularly at the Mall Galleries, London, and also exhibit yearly at the same venue with the Royal Society of Painters in Water Colours.
My background, as well as being an exhibiting artist, is in commercial illustration and previous clients have included - most recently - Waitrose (watercolour illustrations for homewares), English Heritage, Oxford University Press, Nespresso, and UK Parliament.
I've currently just completed a family portrait (14 people) in watercolour, that the client is delighted with.
