Meet the Artist
London, United KingdomI'm Francesca, an Italian artist. My practice currently develops along two different but connected paths.
1. Painting on Canvas: I work primarily with acrylic and markers. I combine structured elements with more spontaneous marks. This layered approach allows me to balance control and intuition, leaving space for emotional expression while maintaining a coherent visual language.
My work focuses mainly on the representation of the human face, particularly women or figures with an undefined identity. The subjects I paint are often people I have met or who have been part of my personal experience, and whose stories inspire me. Through the painting process, I try to connect with these presences, identifying with them to get closer to their emotional state in a given moment.
2. Print Line & Streetwear: I create lines of graphic art prints paired with funny, iconic and motivational phrases, as well as designs for t-shirts and caps.
