The painting was born as my strong desire and need to express a deep state inspired by the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Only those who can look into the most terrible and deep depths of themselves can bring to light their living soul, their ability to insight, creativity, and meaning. But it is terrible to stumble into the depths of your own darkness. Something must happen that involves pain, loss of support, and the inability to take the next step.
