El Tucán Miami
This was an enormous project for a miami nightclub and restaurant in Brickell. This three month project involved several huge murals and custom art throughout the large interior space.
Meet the Artist
Miami, United StatesSimon Vargas is a multidisciplinary artist working and living between Miami, Fl and New York City. Originally raised between Bogota and Madrid, Simon has spent a great deal of his life working in the arts. From producing several art house films to acting in theater productions and various movies in New York, he has always had a flair for creative expression and continues to create and elevate his art on a daily basis.
Simon attended SVA (School of Visual Arts) in NYC and is currently branching out to a solo career in the ever expanding art world. His breadth of work ranges from large scale oil on canvas portraits, to intricate hand painted murals, whimsical one of a kind collages, and various unique works on paper. The focus of his work ranges from cultural and societal awareness, to environmental sustainability and anthropological exploration.
Simon has exhibited his art in cities around the globe including New York City, Art Basel Miami, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Madrid, San Francisco, and many more. His work has now been collected in over 30 countries and is often showcased at important international art fairs and events. Murals and interior design projects by Simon have been commissioned for numerous popular bars, restaurants, cabaret clubs and private homes domestically and abroad. Simon’s work is constantly evolving with many future projects and events in the making for this next year.
