Poster design for 2013 ECU Open Day. Campaign was designed to attract people to "Tweet" how to improve university life and then I reinterpreted the tweets into a large scale art piece in the Perth Underground Train Station
Meet the Artist
Barcelona, SpainWoah is the working alias for Jon, a Croatian-born Australian-raised illustrator, artist and muralist currently residing in Barcelona
Drawing inspiration from the depths of his Mind's Eye, his work is a celebration of the psychedelic experience, brimming with outlandish characters, symbolic motifs and intricate line-work pulsing with kaleidoscopic hues and colours
As a self-professed psychonaut, he draws inspiration from my own psychedelic experiences and hallucinogen-fuelled creative sessions. He also love warping the rubber-hose styled cartoons of the 1920’s into his own style, as well as influences from a myriad of other media such as retro games, films and art
Whilst his design style can be quite fluid and adaptable for different briefs, he feels most creative when creating bright, bold and crazy characters fused together into intricately detailed pieces where the viewer can spot something new each time
