Dual Language Mural
This collaborative mural was designed by local teaching artist Stefan Johanson and brought to life by Johanson, myself, and the students of Sabin Elementary throughout the school year. The mural celebrates the inclusivity and diversity of the multicultural communities that shape the school’s environment. It is prominently displayed inside the main building of Sabin Magnet School in Wicker Park, Chicago, IL, serving as a vibrant reflection of the school’s spirit.
Meet the Artist
Chicago, United StatesI am a Chicago born artist, I have been creating paintings, large scale murals, graphic artistry and illustrations since 2009. My passion for mural art sparked while working as a teaching artist for Columbia College. I collaborated with after school programs and community schools to make inclusive works featuring diversity and community. My works are filled with vibrant bold colors and shapes to create a visual narrative.
