Djinn by Alexis Jones in Hope Valley

This was my illustration for a "Draw This In Your Style" challenge by the Instagram artist @patrick.ganas . I was inspired when I scrolled across his challenge and all the submissions from other incredible artists. One thing I wanted to focus on in this piece was conveying the lore in a cinematic way. I chose to illustrate this scene as part of a survivor's retelling of the story, the moment the djinn gained his freedom and directly before the city was completely destroyed.
