Desmond Tutu Mural

I produced a mural design which was approved by the Desmond Tutu Ip Trust which was revealed on FREEDOM DAY (21 march 2023) in Cape Town, South Africa. It covered a wall area of 18 square metres 6m (w) x 3 M (H) and took me 6 days to complete with the help of an assistant. I used durable outdoor house paints combined with aerosol spray paints. My method was to project the image on the wall and then create large stencils for the African patterns and halftone screen. I always design on computer first, the client then agrees with the design and then I paint and replicate as closely as I can to the computer rendered design.
