For the rooftop of a vibrant hostel in a kite-surfing town in the Canary Islands, I created a panoramic wall mural that captures the energy and charm of the location. Spanning approximately 1 meter high and 5 meters long, the piece radiates the warm hues of a Californian sunset, blending seamlessly to evoke a dreamy, coastal atmosphere. The scene is brought to life with silhouettes of iconic local elements: graceful palm trees swaying gently, spiky cacti adding a touch of rugged beauty, and a kitesurfer mid-flight, their kite soaring in the breezy sky—a nod to the town's adventurous spirit. Using acrylic paint as my medium, I emphasized bold contrasts and clean edges in the silhouettes to complement the vibrant gradient of the sunset. The mural not only serves as a striking visual centerpiece for the rooftop but also as a reflection of the town's dynamic culture and natural beauty, offering hostel guests an inspiring view as they unwind.
