In my work, I aim to create a space where realism and the surreal coexist, intertwining the rational and the romantic in a dynamic interplay. My oil paintings explore symbolism and absurdism, reflecting my fascination with the mystery and spirituality embedded in symbols. I am drawn to the layered and enigmatic nature of imagery, where objects and forms transcend mere visual representation, becoming metaphors for inner experience. Influenced by Baudelaire’s poetic vision and Jung’s exploration of the unconscious, I delve into the dualities of light and shadow, logic and emotion, form and spirit within each piece. I admire Ingres for his precision and technique, yet I challenge the rigidity of his followers, seeking to merge technical excellence with a more intuitive, mystical approach, similar to Michelangelo’s pursuit of volume and his deep understanding of human form. This approach reflects my belief that texture, light, shadow, and anatomy can be distilled into a coherent logical system, where abstraction becomes the foundation for an aesthetic language that speaks to both the mind and the soul. Ultimately, my goal is not merely to depict, but to analyze, summarize, and distill visual information into a logical framework. This allows me to use imagination not only as a tool for creation but also as a method of abstraction. By organizing the elements of texture, light, shadow, and form within a coherent system, I aim to create works that engage both the intellect and the emotions. Through this balance, the line between logical structure and aesthetic experience becomes blurred, offering a space where mind and imagination converge.
