I’m Dave W Smith — an English travel, adventure and documentary photographer based in Bologna, Italy. My work is driven by a deep curiosity for people, places, and the stories that unfold when we step into the world with open eyes. I specialise in capturing real, human moments in challenging and remote environments — from mountain expeditions in Nepal and cultural journeys in India, to outdoor events, brand campaigns, and intimate portrait sessions. However I regularly shoot cultural and corporate events, property and hospitality portfolios for platforms like Airbnb, and offer on-location photography for travelling groups, documenting shared experiences abroad in a natural, story-led style.
