Hey there, I’m a Melbourne-based contemporary artist working primarily with acrylic on canvas. My work explores the relationship between nature and urban spaces, often translating outdoor elements into interior settings through colour, simplified forms, and strong composition. My background is in drawing, and my painting practice developed after moving to Melbourne eight years ago. The city’s creative environment played a big role in helping me refine a distinctive style that prioritises the vision and story of a work over strict realism. I begin each piece digitally, which allows me to iterate quickly and explore colour balance and composition before committing to canvas. This process works particularly well for commissioned projects, as it gives clients a clear understanding of direction early on while still leaving room for organic changes in the final painting. My goal is to create work that highlights the beauty in ordinary spaces and brings a sense of calm and life into the environments where it’s displayed.
