This mural was a commission for a local mental health retreat clinic. The cube was painted on the wall of a lobby. Each square of the cube is detailed with different symbols used within the clinic to promote improved mental health. The cube as a whole symbolizes life and the constant changes/rearrangements we have to make to grow mentally.
COLOR(Est. 2011) is a graffiti duo who left nearly everything they knew together to dedicate themselves to authenticity and creativity. We each have unique styles, and we combine them to make our signature third, wholly unique, style. Our techniques and vision were incubated on the street, and refined on the walls of luxury hotels, restaurants, clubs, and showrooms. Each mural embodies our vision and creativity, with key details tailored to the patron’s space to make the strongest and most exact impact.
The combined creativity of these two minds brings imagery that would otherwise never be born. Not only is this style exclusive and unique to Color Cartel, but our commissioned works benefit from thoughtful iteration and evaluation that very rarely occurs, even with other collaborative groups. Proof of this is found in the international awards and claim that our clients have received with properties prominently featuring our work.
They have been Artists in Residence at Texas A&M University, and their work was featured in a solo show at MSC VAC Gallery. They participated in the group show Hops for HOPE (a benefit for HOPE Outdoor Gallery), and Scene Makers for the gallery Art for the People.
