This commissioned mural, created for the Blue Island community in Chicago, embodies themes of diversity, inclusivity, and unity. While the community played a role in a guided paint event, the mural was meticulously designed and executed with careful attention to detail, from intricate line work to final refinements. Now proudly displayed at Cook County Blue Island Hospital, the mural serves as a powerful representation of artistic vision and community collaboration.
Meet the Artist
Chicago, United StatesI am a Chicago born artist, I have been creating paintings, large scale murals, graphic artistry and illustrations since 2009. My passion for mural art sparked while working as a teaching artist for Columbia College. I collaborated with after school programs and community schools to make inclusive works featuring diversity and community. My works are filled with vibrant bold colors and shapes to create a visual narrative.
