Meet the Artist
Cambridge, United KingdomI am a Melbourne-based artist and fine art conservator, originally from Italy, with a passion for craftsmanship, traditional techniques and contemporary artistic expression.
I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Italy, specialising in artistic decoration, and my career has developed across restoration, decorative arts and contemporary art. My experience includes the restoration of stone, painted and wooden artworks, as well as gilding, decorative painting and traditional surface finishing.
I specialise in hand-painted stone and marble effects, working with both traditional painting techniques and materials such as Venetian plaster, marmorino, stucco and other decorative renders. I love creating depth, texture and movement, transforming surfaces and spaces through colour, material and craftsmanship.
My artistic practice also includes sculpture, where I enjoy working with form, texture and materials to create both decorative and contemporary pieces. I am particularly interested in the connection between sculpture, architecture and the surrounding space.
Alongside restoration and traditional decorative arts, I create murals and large-scale artworks using mixed media and a variety of techniques. My work can range from traditional decorative painting and mural art to contemporary murals and street art. I enjoy experimenting with different styles, materials and surfaces, and I am always looking for new ways to push my creativity.
What inspires me most is the possibility of transforming a surface, object or space into something unique. I am fascinated by the relationship between art, architecture, history and craftsmanship, and I believe that traditional skills can be just as powerful when combined with contemporary ideas.
Whether I am restoring a historic artwork, creating a sculpture, applying gold leaf, recreating the appearance of marble, working with Venetian plaster, painting a mural or experimenting with street art, I bring the same passion, precision and respect for the craft.
For me, creating is about more than making something visually beautiful. It is about giving surfaces and spaces character, telling a story and creating something that people can connect with.
