Moving to Vancouver from Calgary in 2015, I completed my graphic design diploma where I began to develop my illustration skills and style. I quickly acquired a love for painting, which in turn, eventually allowed me to go large scale and design murals. Over the last 3 years I have focused growing my knowledge and skill set with painting on big walls ,such as, problem solving, efficiency and different techniques.
Apart from murals, I explore working in all different kinds of mediums, finding a harmonized balance between traditional and digital art. I strive to have no boundaries surrounding my artistic practice and to be able to apply my illustrations to a variety of different products and objects. As and example, I can design for a variety of different products ranging from beer labels, puzzle, light box, rugs etc. to painting on miscellaneous objects , such as, an old telephone booth, furniture, clothing etc. Inspired by the counter culture movements of the past and current culture; my work exists as a contemporary take on vintage design. I incorporates vibrant illustrative elements, specific colour palettes and intricate line work to convey a feeling of cultural nostalgia and relevance.
