Coffee Togo by Keinom in Berlin

Coffee Togo

This work is part of a new series in which I paint pictures on old maps. I use them to show people who are on the move, on a quest or who need a map to find their way. Both physically and mentally. The series deliberately uses old or antique maps in order to show the transience of boundaries, some of which are arbitrarily set by man. Everything is ephemeral, including countries, nations and borders. In the end, it is our wonderful earth and nature that we humans are allowed to live with. Acrylic, watercolour and map of Togo from ca. 1905 on plywood.
