City of Langley Illustration Suite by Jam Kusack in Vancouver

This illustration suite was developed for the City of Langley: State of the City Address, presented by Mayor Nathan Pachal. The client wanted a visual aid to support the Mayor’s talking points, but not distract from the impact of his words. The illustrations had to cover a variety of topics while remaining visually cohesive and on brand. These topics included: Transportation, Accessibility, Housing, Recreation, Events, Culture, Infrastructure, Citizenship, Business, Education, Safety, Development, Facilities, Livability, and Opportunity. I felt that the best way to approach this was to create an illustration suite that could fit into the corners of the presentation slides, supporting each topic with an interesting visual. When presented individually alongside the address, they tell the story of what the City of Langley has to offer, and build towards the final image where they fit neatly together to create a picture of a diverse, thriving, and complete municipality. Truly a place to live, work, and stay!
