This is a Children’s Game Illustration Project I worked on for Playotter, an exciting upcoming company developing thoughtful and engaging card games for kids and families. I was responsible for creating the entire set of game illustrations, tailored to different age categories—each with its own unique color palette, tone, and visual style. From vibrant and playful designs for younger children to more balanced, neutral illustrations for mixed-age gameplay, each set was crafted to support the game’s mood and audience. One of the standout projects was the Kaurava & Pandava card game—a fun and strategic game designed for both adults and kids. For this game, the illustrations were carefully balanced to appeal to all ages, with a clean, storytelling-inspired aesthetic that connects visually across generations. All artwork is copyrighted to Playotter and was created in close collaboration with their creative team to align with their vision and game mechanics.

Hi, I’m Raveena Baskaran, a children’s illustrator and creative storyteller with a love for crafting playful, expressive, and richly textured artwork. My work is rooted in a hand-drawn digital style that mimics traditional media—perfect for picture books, educational content, and narrative-driven projects. What inspires me? ✨ Whimsical daydreams 🌿 Nature’s quiet poetry 🎨 Childhood nostalgia 📚 And the joy of storytelling through color and shape While I specialize in children’s illustration, my creative practice extends far beyond the bookshelf. I also work on commercial illustrations, packaging design, prints and patterns, and brand-focused visuals—anything that calls for charm, originality, and artistic flair. Over the years, I’ve illustrated a wide range of children’s books, designed coloring books, and collaborated with brands to create art that connects. My goal is always to bring stories and ideas to life in a way that feels warm, joyful, and visually captivating. Art isn’t just what I do—it’s how I share wonder with the world. I’m always excited to collaborate, explore new ideas, and keep the magic flowing.
