Children's bereavement book 'Saying goodbye to Nanny'
A children's bereavement book aimed to for families to help children (aged 5-12) understand the loss of a grandparent and answer difficult questions.
For this project I started with some story board concept sketching, developing that closely with the author. One approved I started on the final artwork (with was digitally created in Procreate), and then typeset the book merging in with the illustrations.
Meet the Artist
Newcastle upon Tyne, United KingdomIm an Illustrator and Graphic Designer based in the heart of North East England.
I've been working professionally as a freelancer since 2015, developing and enhancing my digital skills in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Fresco and Procreate.
I have created original characters for customers, produced large scale hoardings, cartoon storyboards, concept art, personal commissions, logos, business branding, and more. I have also illustrated more than 25 children's books for self-published writers. There is no limit to what I can offer, and I am open to requests that inspire me in new ways.
