Cheesecake recipe illustration

This food illustration piece was a personal project I designed to showcase my watercolour food illustration. Working with national treasure and queen of the desserts Mary Berry’s zingy lemon and lime cheesecake recipe as a starting point, I used my trusty watercolours and colour pencil to bring to life this desert through my fun, playful artwork. With a combination of spot illustrations of the ingredients as well as picture of dish as a whole I put it all together in an imagined editorial spread for a food magazine or recipe book feature.
