Cheers to Tradition
This mural, titled "Cheers to Tradition," was painted on a living room wall in Turkey. The design captures a moment of connection, symbolized by two hands reaching out to clink glasses of "Yeni Rakı." The mural pays homage to the cultural significance of sharing drinks in Turkish traditions, where raki is often enjoyed during heartfelt conversations with friends and family. Acrylic paints were used to create this piece, with the colors chosen to complement the soft, neutral tones of the room. The mural contrasts the hands’ warm, natural tones against the sleek, minimalist background, drawing attention to the glasses and the simple, yet powerful act of sharing. The clean lines and bold shapes emphasize the modern twist on a traditional moment. This artwork was created as part of my personal collection and was not commissioned. The idea behind it was to bring a piece of Turkish culture into a contemporary space, blending tradition with modern aesthetics. The mural not only serves as a decorative piece but also sparks conversation and invites viewers to think about the moments that bring people together.
