PERSONAL INFO Art has been a passion of mine since I could hold a pencil or a crayon. I love to draw and paint in charcoal, pencil, pastel and oil, water-colour or acrylic paints. Everything that I create is by hand. I mix my colours, block in dimensions and proportions all by hand and eye. I create preliminary sketches for drawings and paintings. I measure placement of subject matter through a process learned years ago from Esther Skaar Freeman past president of Alberta portrait association during a portrait immersion course. Drawings are created in pencil, charcoal, conte crayon and chalk pastel. Sketches are created in charcoal or pencil. Paintings are created in oil paint, watercolour or acrylic paint I scale proportions to create a realistic or abstract portrayal of any subject In any size.
