Chalk Art for a Cafe by Emilia Bagliani in Sydney
Chalk Art for a Cafe
The project took place at a very popular café in Bronte Beach. I painted over 10 chalkboards, showcasing the full café menu and beverage offerings, as well as promotions, food dishes, and opening hours. The designs were created digitally, allowing for back-and-forth collaboration with the client. Once approved, the designs were transferred onto the chalkboards using various materials such as chalk and acrylic markers. This project undoubtedly gave the café a refreshed visual identity, and we received excellent feedback from all the customers.
Meet the Artist
Sydney, AustraliaI'm Emilia, a graphic designer and artist based in sunny Sydney. While I currently work in the digital product design realm, my heart truly belongs to painting and illustration.
My creative repertoire spans from vibrant murals and canvas paintings to digital illustrations, posters, and even branding and logo designs. Originally from Argentina, my wanderlust led me to explore the artistic scenes of cities like New York and Barcelona before settling here in Sydney, Australia, where I've been fortunate to dive into local projects.
My artwork is known for its bold colour palettes, influenced by a keen eye for colour theory and a knack for staying ahead of trends. You'll often find elements of nature intertwined with abstract forms in my pieces.
Art is more than just a passion; it's a way of life for me. Whether it's through a mural, a canvas, or a digital illustration, I strive to create memorable and enjoyable experiences, enriching spaces with my art that resonate with people.
I have a particular interest in designing and illustrating children's books, as my designs are highly adaptable to young minds. I'm eager to explore opportunities in this field further, including painting children's rooms, collaborating with kids' clothing businesses, and creating bespoke illustrations.
