Personal project paying homage to Australian natives
Meet the Artist
Invermay, AustraliaSteph (she/her) is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator living and creating on Wadawurrung and Dja Dja Wurrung country / Ballarat. Working both on screen and hand painting murals, she doesn’t limit herself to her mediums.
Steph is fascinated by the visual language of shape and symbol; the simplifying and minimising to essential forms. Her designs are characterised by bold geometric representations of everyday life and exhibits thoughtful consideration for how shapes lock together to create aesthetic and balanced illustrations.
Steph has long been inspired by artists bringing their work out of the gallery and into the public realm through mural work. Working by the philosophy that art should be an integral part of everyday life, and accessible to all.
