buddha by Niko Kustom Tattoo in Paris

Niko established Kustom Tattoo in 2000. He is a pro tattoo artist since the creation of the shop. He first learned the pure technique with prestigious artists, which allowed him to deepen his art over time. Since then, he has taken part in many international events in: Barcelona, Rome, Milano, Montréal, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Berlin... and of course the famous Mondial du Tatouage à Paris. He is a comics enthusiast and influenced by the alternative underground scene from the 80's-90's . A scene in which cinema, painting, street art and sculpture come together. He has been able, over the years, to explore different styles. To him the evolution of tattoo shows it is an art of it's own, once it is freed from it's mercantil aspect. And like every art tattoo refines, and improves. It's like a journey where the only limits are those of the imagination. This is what Niko is trying to convey to the people who want to get tattooed by him. He is specialised in highly contrasted tattoos in Black and grey. He approaches every tattoo with the will to create a unique, personal and original piece. His favorite themes are history, mythology, cinema, cult series, portraiture, famous people and life stories. He composes and creates from photos , illustrative images that he works on graphic tablet. Placement, approach to the theme and composition are essential factors in its creative process.
