Breaching the Boundaries by Carl Knapper in Leeds

‘Pushing the boundaries’ with playfulness, curiosity, and sustainability playing a support role, whilst also showcasing the personality of northern grit – this was the brief for the mural I created for a bespoke design studio called “The North Corner”, situated in the heart of Leeds by the canal. The owner, Katrina, wanted me to create a talking point, something she could share with clients and be proud of. The manta ray embodies the ethos of the company – prepared to explore new territories with its unbridled curiosity. Whilst the essence of the industrious northern grit is featured, along with iconic buildings and scenic views of the area.
