My name is Yannick, I live in Sainte-Thérèse, in the suburbs of Montréal, Québec, Canada. I studied visual arts at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal and then the Université du Québec à Montréal. My work explores the beauty but also the absurdity of our world. Through my paintings, my murals, my photographs, I try to bring together ordinary scenes to give them a new meaning. I like to emphasize the absurd, ironic and funny nature of certain situations and people. I hope that my works will be able to evoke in some the beginning of a reflection on our contemporary society and the issues that surround us. Over the last 20 years, I have developed my own style and my travels around the world have also greatly influenced my vision of things. Hoping that you will enjoy discovering my works. My works are mainly found in Quebec although I love exploring the world, so I do not hesitate to participate in projects wherever I am invited, because travel feeds my work. In the past, among others, I have made murals in Mexico, Honduras, as well as in Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal in Canada.
