Book Cover Mock-Up Project
Title: ‘Mora’s Mark’
("БЕЛЕГЪТ НА МОРА")
This is a mock-up project of an illustrated book cover based on a story idea I've been developing, weaving my culture’s folklore into the classic fantasy genre. The artwork depicts the Kuker – a person in a scary traditional costume who has the power to ward off evil spirits – and the Slavic goddess of winter Mora, appearing behind the main character Vyara (‘Hope’). Marked by the goddess (hence the book title), Vyara’s name choice foreshadows her fated path.
I have also integrated the iconic ‘shevitsa’ pattern into the magical bell on the back cover, as it symbolizes health, fertility, love, and protection from evil forces. Additionally, positioned in the background are the main character’s village that she’s sworn to protect, and some spirits emerging from the snowy forest, threatening the peace.

Alongside my personal projects, I’ve worked with selected clients on creative commissions.
Additionally, I have some university experience where I took part in group game development projects and learned to work well in a team.
