Oude stad, nieuwe ogen brings together 13 stories written by Antwerp citizens with a migration background. Through personal memories and reflections, each writer shares how they experience the city, past and present. As the illustrator of this book, I was inspired by the question: How do we find a sense of home in a new place? I wanted to capture the tender ways we look at a new city, and the people who help us feel connected.
