I am an artist and designer, with a practice that focuses on storytelling through various mediums and formats. Originally from Mumbai, India, I am currently based in Chicago having completed my MFA in Studio from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago. A significant aspect of my interdisciplinary work revolves around the retelling of mythological stories, offering fresh perspectives and contemporary interpretations of them. I am particularly drawn to narratives that have been marginalized or overlooked. By inserting myself and my ideologies into fictional stories, history and lore, I create a space that allows me to re-imagine narratives in a more contemporary light. While analogue print techniques and ceramics are recent additions to my practice, I am eager to see my practice expand through different mediums. My goal is to continue pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling, creating works that are both visually compelling and deeply resonant.
