Blossoming Lanterns by MazzyJay in Orford

This drawing was created using procreate and uses several types of brushes. The scene was inspired by and image I’ve had in my mind for years, of cherry blossom trees standing in water with lanterns hanging in the branches. Every now and then I try to draw the image in my mind, unfortunately none of my drawings had done justice to my imagined scene. Since I hand’s drawn it for a while I decided to try again, this time I feel like I have come much closer to what I’d imagined. Although there is still room to progress even closer I am very happy with how this drawing turned out.
