Blood Wedding

In the forest that the Bride and Leonardo have fled into, the play then takes a symbolic turn, with the moon itself appearing to foretell that before the night is over, blood will have been shed. A beggar standing as a metaphor for death then appears to predict the same outcome, eerily demanding that the moon shines brightly. The lovers embrace and go deeper into the woods. Screams are heard, Leonardo and Antonio have killed each other in a knife fight while the moon lies high in the sky. The bride survives, becoming the main sufferer of death..
