Blood Orange
Blood Orange is an artwork created for a private residence in their outdoor entertainment area. this. was a timber wall erected by the owner specifically for this mural. the brief for this project was relatively straight forward, highly nature influenced including fruit and a bird. this painting was created using only aerosol cans.
Meet the Artist
Adelaide, AustraliaVaughn Odendaal is the artist behind Vinko Design. Vaughn is a self taught artist discovering his love for aerosol art as a teenager that sparked a fire that still burns strong today. His passion for aerosol art encouraged his creative development and deep interest in the arts. As a young adult Vaughn studied visual arts at the University of South Australia, he majored in drawing and design. Needless to say, art is more than just a hobby for him, he lives to create and creates to live. Upon the completion of his studies Vaughn took on a tattooing apprenticeship. Tattooing was the ideal career that catered to his passion to create art and further develop is artistic skills. Vaughn's experience as a full time tattooist over several years has continued to inform and influence his aerosol mural works. Striving to adapt to the demands of the client he aims to be the most flexible artist he can be to produce the best artistic outcome. Every creative project presents its own challenges, much like solving a puzzle Vaughn enjoys a creative challenge but better still a creative solution. Vaughn's strength lies within conceptualizing a collection of ideas into a fluent and stylish design, however, the style he enjoys the most is illustrative realism inspired by the natural world.
