Blaydon by Douglas Findlay Art in London

Blaydon

I was commissioned to create an illustration/drawing telling the story of a couple that met over fifty years ago in Blaydon. They knew each other as children in Blaydon but lost touch. They didn't meet as a couple until fifty years later. This illustration shows places in Blaydon that they used to visit as children including a toyshop. The couple commissioning the piece also asked if their favourite toys as well as their favourite clothes could be incorporated into the illustration. This is the final result.
