Dare To Imagine is a striking piece from my BLACK X BOLD series, which celebrates empowerment, resilience and feminine beauty in all of its forms. This particular artwork really encapsulates the strength and power of Black womanhood. There is no performance, no gaze, no spectacle, but just the mere presence and acceptance of the subject evokes such palpable prowess and power. This piece for me really speaks to and of ancestry, heritage and how resilience and tenacity of spirit is something carried through the generations of lineage. When I look at this work, I am always reminded of the sacrifice, contributions, love, fight and endurance of the women in my life past, present, and future whom without, I wouldn't be standing here strong today. This piece is dedicated to them.
