Black Weimador by Noemí Luz in Aracena

I've been painting since I was a child and learned a lot of what I know from my mother who is a visual artist. My dog Jazz is one of my muses and inspired me to start painting pets. I love capturing animals’ quirky personalities and creating unique pet portraits for their humans to treasure. I’m also inspired by the essence of nature and the beauty in both its balance and its chaos. This comes across in the flora and fauna I paint but also in a more abstract sense through the geometric backgrounds I design. I’m also a professional flamenco dancer & choreographer which influences the energy and movement in my painting style a great deal. I work a lot with gouache paint because it’s water based, giving me freedom of movement whilst at the same time bold colours.
