Birds of Tooborac by Eric Sesto in Footscray
Birds of Tooborac
This double wall is a homage to my home town. I had the opportunity to paint this piece in the town where I grew up. To celebrate my love for the beautiful nature of the town I painted landscapes showing two different seasons adorned with two native birds that had been selected by the town.
Meet the Artist
Footscray, AustraliaHello, I am Eric. I have wanted to be an artist since I was 5, and seriously began my career around 2015 - 2018 when I started exhibiting and painting murals around the world. I have had 4 solo exhibitions in Melbourne and painted murals across 6 countries.
It took me 10 years of experimentation to develop my mature style. I am primarily interested in the meeting of the physical and psychological realms, dominantly centred on ideas of regeneration, existentialism, and a love of nature. My style is a combination of surrealism and post-impressionsim, mixed with contemporary abstractions that are aimed to encourage introspection. Although I maintain an independent practise that stays true to my interests and values, I do love to collaborate and I am sure I will take your inspirations to a deeper place than you first considered. My aim is that we will both be enriched by the experience.
