Billy Connolly by Heather Wood in Edinburgh

Billy Connolly

“The Big Yin”, an affectionate name given by the people of Sir Billy Connolly’s homeland meaning, “The Big One”. Sir Billy was originally painted on A3 paper in a vibrant culmination of acrylic colours, in my own unique style. The colour scheme reflects the current work I am doing, illustrating the beauty of Scotland from it’s landscapes to popular culture and an added explosion of gold! This painting has lots of texture that can only be fully appreciated in the flesh.
