Below the Surface by Rob in London

I was approached to create a mural for one of the quiet rooms in a schooling academy, one which would give students and carers a place to gather themselves and take a moments peace. Which such a busy school full of students caters and activities, this space really gives you chance to pause, breath, and relax. It was fun to on brushes for a playful, illustrative and painterly approach, where the marks are not accurate but are instead full of movement and vitality. Thanks to the team there who looked after me and made the job enjoyable and go smoothly. Best of all they gave me a lot of freedom with how the final artwork would look and I’m thrilled that all the feedback was good from the teachers as well as the students.
