I made this painting to describe the atmosphere in a small countryside pub in England. The colours have a subdued vibrancy and the cat is calmy enjoying a beer. The pub is about to close, the town is going to sleep. This was sold at a marketplace in Newcastle.

Sydney, AustraliaI am an australian-born artist currently based in Newcastle Upon Tyne who works with mixed-media to create illustrations and paintings on canvas, paper, card, wood and sometimes cereal boxes and clothing textiles. Fine Arts graduate from Newcastle University. Ever since they crept into my work, I've been exploring why because there's no clear answer.
