Take a little walk along the edge of the surf. A lot of things happen where the waves and sand meet. Things are thrown up from the depths and discarded or thrown down and claimed into the depths. In between that give and take, where the sand is filtered with water, where pebbles are exposed by the waves and grass struggles against the tide, where footsteps leave a track. It all comes together in joyful chaos Sometimes we are neither in the water or the grass, the beach or the rocks, the path or the bush. It can look like chaos. But maybe it isn't Maybe it's just a moment of diverting from a set place, and stepping into the border, the edge of another space. Dipping your toes in the water.
