Be Brave by Natasha Rose Art in Hamilton

The first in a series of 3 commissioned pieces I completed for the nursery of a client's newborn baby. She wanted artworks that had a neutral theme with a splash of colour to suit the decorative elements of the room. The lion stands tall and strong, courageously staring out at the horizon with a grounded and confident demeanour. The high level of detail brings him forward from the abstract background creating a sense of dimension and visual contrast. The background was painted with acrylics and the colour was added to the lion's face, mane, and body using oils which heighten the sense of depth, realism, and interest.
