In my ‘Oil for beginners’ 10 weeks course we learn how to: · Work with oil; · Understand tonal value and work with a grey scale; · Create a monochromatic background. This entails using only one colour, which makes it easy to concentrate on tonal values and proportions; · Create a colour wheel; · Mix colours; · Create vivid colours; · Avoid muddy colours; · Darken and lighten a colour naturally the way nature does it for a realistic appearance. In this oil course you will complete 2 monochromatic paintings and 2 in colour.
